In these days where the game market is owned by 3 major companies. Where computer games are no more than vegetalized console ports with kick in the balls graffics. Something had to be done. By itself, the indie gaming scene naturaly filled a space left empty by game companies and their crowd.

Welcome to a little hub of gaming counter culture. Super hard flash games all made of randomized content, 2d graphics and old school flavoured titles. Truly something that you'd not pay attention to if you were mentally stable.

Good remembrance day folks.

I'm compiling the patch right now, and looks like it will be a multiple phases upgrade. If you refer to the post in our forums i had this much done for the patch right now. Tiger, engineer, adaptable AI and building defence enemy is still to be done. Although in the patch i wont implement right now because it is far from stable especially the enemy defence building option.

So what does it mean for you? Well pretty much nothing new, you will log in here to play mud and blood and found new stuff added each couple days :)

I will upload 2.2.0 right now with the changes i have done to it so far and keep uploading changes as i finish them.

Mnb in the intarwebs
Good day folks.

Quick log to let you know that MnB2 has 1.4 million views in less than 2 months. Rock on. Next patch is huge and is doing good but no ETA yet.

Last Winter translation is taking me forever but i want to get this done ASAP so we can start the open beta.

That's pretty much it for now.

mnb2.1.6 is out folks. Have fun!!

- Press shift to hide the action panels :)

- Trench/bunker warp bug is gone. For good hopefully.

- Concentrate fire description corrected.

- Ops panel typo corrected

- Flamer and zooka soldier weapon icon added.

- Surrender action will bring to the score panel and add your score to the promotion points.

- Medic xp bonus generated by the gallantry ribbon fixed.

- Tanks and zooka soldiers will be targeting other tanks first.

- Snipers allied and enemies will now spawn hidden.

- New building avail. Sand bags. Same as trench but destructible and cheaper.

- No more plastic trees!! (flamers will not burn entire forests anymore)

- Hit detection was revised for flamers.

- Taunt will not give any TP if you are playing 'last stand' mode.

- Taunt will generate less enemies.

- Barb wires are now destructible.

- 5 new ribbons added.

- Chances of catching fire from trees reduced.

- Snipers from both camp will prioritize targets way more often now.

- Experienced germans will fire at troops behind the tanks if they can see them.

- Ricochet sound when a tank gets hit by small arm fire.

Good day folks. Mud and Blood 2 is doing good out there. It is hosted by 60 portals and being played 300k times so far.

You can follow mnb adventures on the interweb and stats here.

Mud and blood 2 downloadable version will be vailable as soon as I stop adding features and being stabilized.

Projects wise, I got few things open although patching mnb takes most of my free time for now.

I got a rpg board game coming up that is going well you can have a look here. This is basically a simplified version of talisman and it is 85% completed.

Now the killer app. Last poll asked for a survival RPG game, some of you already know that I am working ona project for 2 years now about a survival game that is set in the new world around the 17 th century. As a woodsman you hunt and fight for your daily survival in a harsh and cold forest. Here's a screen of the title screen, here is inventory panel, here you can see the action panel, character selection and a view of the skill panel. This game cover 3 000 000 square kilometers of randomly generated forest, has 342 items so far, 65 possible actions, 16 animals, 5 factions and an entirely simulated ecosystem with seasons, weather day and night.. it's huge. I love it. It is in alpha stage right now (you can tell by the typos) and a translated version will be available eventually. We are looking for few serious beta testers for this title, let us know in the feedback form if you're up for it.

These are the main two projects besides mud and blood that are being finalized. Some other not so finished projects are hanging around as well i'll keep you posted when they will be screenshot worthy. Have a good week.

Zerg and farming patch out
Oi freaks. Looks like this Fallschirmjäger picked the wrong spot to land.. right in front of that machine gun.

Carnage aside, public beta is flying good folks, I had lots of feedback from you guys specially from rumpel reguarding the new version.

So an updated version is online right now. A new ribbon is added: 'Medal of Honor' it is yours to figure out how to get it though.

Some balance issues got fixed as well. Fine tuning soldiers and enemies alike killing some exploits along the way.

On the other end some ribbons requiments got lowered a lil with this patch. Some of them were bit hard to get. 

Beside that I'm also working on a new German General algorithm. Right now, they try to crush you with numbers, speed and raw firepower. This might change in the upcoming update where I intend to make the enemy leader more subtle and tricky. Let's call it the 'Rommel patch'

Killing Nazis at lunch time
After few months of coding and testing here it is folks. Mud and blood 2.1 is available here at urb.com for online play with all the carnage and action it can pack.

Hope you like, we got some nice features in, (check ou forum topic for a detailed list) most of em based on the incredible amount of suggestions I had from the community.

A download version with high quality sound will be avail shortly but first i'm testing the water with this version.

Hopefully we will have a vicious competition for the top 15 like we had on the first version. Now don't wait anymore let's get the gibs flying and the forest burning it's combat time.

Mud and Blood release
K guys mud and blood is all done as far as programming goes. Some balance has to be tested a lil especially with medals power ups.

Airborne troops are in, Germans and US. New thing added at last minute as well is the mortar soldier.

Bikes and dogs might be removed; they are non firing fast movers and not as fun as I thought.

Some balance/polishing being made as well concerning bunkers being the ultimate solution for mounting successful defence operations, so now when troops are in the bunker, their sight is impaired due to the limited visibility. Nothing major though.
 
The only soldiers that are not affected by the bunker limitations is the machine gunners. Also following common sense, mortar guys can't fire while in bunkers. Note that snipers placed in bunkers are also greatly disadvantaged.

Rank system is working and you can unlock specials abilities attached to ranks. I'm not saying anymore this will be a surprise.

Mud and Blood looking good
Just a quick log to let you know guys that mud and blood 2.1 is looking good, pretty much everything is coded minus the german dogs and bikes.

I can tell you that the game is more dynamic and unpredictable than ever with lots of screaming and bodyparts flying around.


While you are waiting folks, may I suggest you to take a look at this lil gem, it's fun, it's free (well part of it) and more importantly it's random, indie and violent. Nice to see that some ppl around are still making games for our type of crowd.

So hang tight folks, some coding, some testing and release will be on its way.
